Bulgaria nominates deputy governor as ECB inspects banks
Nominee to lead banking supervision team currently heads state deposit insurance fund
Bulgaria’s central bank nominated the head of the state deposit insurance fund to become its next deputy governor in charge of banking supervision, it announced on March 8.
The nomination came after Dimitar Kostov unexpectedly resigned as deputy governor on March 1, less than four years into his six-year term.
The Bulgarian National Bank described the new nominee, Radoslav Milenkov, as a well-known and respected bank specialist with proven professional knowledge and a good reputation. The BNB
