Bank of Korea annual report sheds light on organisational shake-up

Central bank gained new research functions and communications teams

The Bank of Korea has been undergoing an organisational revamp over the past year in an attempt to increase its efficiency, the central bank's annual report for 2014 shows.

Writing in the introduction to the report, governor Juyeol Lee pointed to areas including communications, research and a review of the management structures in an effort to "respond flexibly to the changing international and domestic environment and strengthen the business capabilities of staff".
