Canadian quarterly review outlines toolkit for analysing current economic performance

The Bank of Canada has devoted the summer 2013 edition of its quarterly review to analysing its tools for monitoring current economic developments, both in the domestic economy and internationally.

The review contains four articles. The first contains a presentation of "a new state-of-the-art indicator model for quarterly Canadian real GDP that provides a data-intensive, judgment-free approach to short-term forecasting".
