Albania opens new currency centre

The Bank of Albania has opened a new currency issue centre, designed to improve the technological standards of money processing, as part of a wider process to overhaul its property portfolio.

The new complex was described as a major construction project in a central bank statement. "The Currency Issue Centre is built in the spirit of modern architecture, with two striking circular ends that symbolise the coin," a Bank of Albania statement said.
