No Asean pan-regional regulator in near future – panellists

The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) is unlikely to gain a pan-regional regulator any time soon because of the divergent stages of development among the Asean countries, according to Noritaka Akamatsu, a senior adviser at the Asian Development Bank.
