ECB aims for single policy on ‘options and discretions’ with new proposals
Publications to form part of consultation on establishing single approach
The European Central Bank (ECB) took a key step towards creating a single policy for the exercise of options and discretions (O&Ds) in banking law on November 11, publishing its draft regulation and guide for O&Ds for countries regulated by the Single Supervisory Mechanism (SSM).
The ECB said it had identified "over 150" options and discretions under the capital requirements regulation (CRR), capital requirements directive (CRD) and liquidity capital ratio delegated act (LCR DA) in Europe. They
