Regnology cements regtech-suptech dominance with Metadata acquisition

Series of bank collapses underscores need for timely data on firms’ regulatory metrics

The changing data landscape

Regnology has buttressed its position as a major provider of regulatory and supervisory technology (regtech/suptech) with the acquisition of UK-based Metadata Technology.

The deal, unveiled today (May 3), adds Metadata’s expertise on data dissemination to Regnology’s product offering, previously a weaker area for the German firm.

Since spinning off from BearingPoint in 2021, Regnology has made a series of acquisitions that extended its coverage of the whole regulatory ‘value chain’. Notably
