FCA fails to publish contentious report on RBS

Regulator opts to supply parliamentary committee with confidential version of report

The UK’s Financial Conduct Authority has chosen not to publish a contentious report on the Royal Bank of Scotland Group’s (RBS) Global Restructuring Group by today’s (February 16) deadline.

Parliament’s Treasury Committee had demanded a copy be published or that the committee be provided with a confidential version by today. The FCA opted for the latter, having failed to obtain the permission of key people named in the report.
