The governor of the National Bank of Serbia has deemed the institution’s action plan on non-performing loans (NPLs) a success after their share fell to their lowest level since 2010.

“Banks’ capacities have been strengthened, with improvements made in the field of application of accounting standards, transparency of bank operation, practice of forbearance and the development of the NPL market,” says Jorgovanka Tabaković.
