Chile’s Marcel praises Argentine reforms
IMFC chairman says reforms have “paid off”, helping the country re-enter the global economic stage
The governor of the Central Bank of Chile has praised Argentinian authorities for their “decisive” actions last year to reinvigorate the economy.
Speaking in his capacity as chairman of the International Monetary and Financial Committee for the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Mario Marcel said Argentina’s actions had “paid off”. The IMF now expects growth of 3% in 2017.
