Central American central banks move to upgrade regional payment system
Central bank governors from Central America draw up action plan, detailing faster payment times
Central banks in Central America have created an action plan to upgrade the regional payment system, SIP, aiming to make it more efficient.
They made the announcement at the 276th Central American Monetary Council (CMCA) meeting. It was attended by central bank governors from the Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Honduras, Guatemala and Costa Rica on February 18–19.
