A "combination" of policies are needed to reduce the amount of workers operating in the Mexican informal labour, a working paper published by the Bank of Mexico has found.

In Informality and segmentation in the Mexican labor market, Carlo Alcaraz, Daniel Chiquiar and Alejandrina Salcedo examine what policy measures should be implemented to prevent people entering the informal labour market, based upon factors leading people to work in the sector.
