Ingves outlines Basel Committee response to ‘excessive variation’ in risk-weighted assets

Stefan Ingves singled out the reliability and comparability of risk-based capital ratios as one of the most important issues on the post-crisis reform agenda yesterday, at this week's international conference of banking supervisors.

The conference was held in Tianjin, China, and attended by supervisors and central bankers from more than 100 jurisdictions. The Basel Committee on Banking Supervision also met on the sidelines.
