Kansas City Fed cancels Wyoming get-together, citing Delta variant

The Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City has announced that no in-person events will be held during the 2021 Jackson Hole conference.

The Kansas City Fed will replace the three-day event at a Wyoming resort with a one-day online programme.

Its announcement cited “the recently elevated Covid-19 health risk level in Teton County”, Wyoming. Esther George, the Kansas City Fed’s president, said that though she was “disappointed” at the change, “the safety of our guests and the Teton County community
