Denmark is entering a boom – central bank

Nordic country benefiting from growth in export markets, including US and eurozone

The Danish economy is entering an economic boom, boosted by growing export markets in the US and Europe, said the National Bank of Denmark today (March 14).

The labour market is recording a sharp upswing. The unemployment rate in Denmark stood at 5.2% of the labour force in January 2018, according to European statistical agency Eurostat. Almost all the new jobs the economy has created have been recorded in the private sector, as reforms such as the rise in the retirement age have expanded the
