The Netherlands Bank

A working paper published by the Netherlands Bank examines whether the effects of public capital on long-run output growth have changed in recent years.

In Public capital in the 21st century: As productive as ever? Jasper de Jong, Marien Ferdinandusse and Josip Funda build on time series for the public capital stocks of 20 OECD countries first presented in a 2006 paper by Christophe Kamps. They estimate country-specific vector autoregressive models for the countries in the dataset.
