Brief History

The Central Bank of Tunisia was established 19 September 1958 by the law Nº58-90 that was modified by subsequent texts in 1975, 1980, 1981, 1988 and 2006. In April 2016, the Central Bank of Tunisia enacted its new law Nº2016-35. The Central Bank of Tunisia’s main objective is maintaining price stability.
