Philippines has “ample” policy space to respond to risks, governor says

The governor of the Central Bank of the Philippines has said the regulator will look to improve its macro-financial surveillance capabilities in 2017 to manage external and domestic risks.

Speaking in Manila on January 5, Amando Tetangco outlined a number of initiatives the central bank would be pursuing in terms of supervision, focusing on risk management and competitiveness in co-operation with other government agencies and regulators.
