The Central Bank of Brazil is not committed to a timeframe for easing monetary policy, governor Ilan Goldfajn has stressed.

Appearing at the International Monetary Fund's annual meeting in Washington, DC, last week, Goldfajn – who has only been in the role since June – clarified that any monetary policy decision will be driven by "evidence" after a "careful" assessment by the monetary policy committee (MPC).

The bank's latest inflation report identified three domestic risks to the baseline
