Kohn encourages Chinese efforts on financial stability
FPC member welcomes Chinese work on a framework for macro-prudential regulation
Don Kohn, an external member of the Bank of England's financial policy committee (FPC), discussed the strengths and weakness of different approaches to financial stability on May 21 during a visit to China, where he welcomed the country's work on its own framework.
Kohn noted monetary policy in China was already "trying to accomplish a number of things".
There are a host of different models that can be adopted in the area of financial stability, and Kohn told an audience at Tsinghua University
