Brainard mulls how to reduce ‘undue’ regulatory burden
Warns process may take longer where interagency agreement needed
Federal Reserve governor Lael Brainard identified the areas she believes hold "the greatest promise" for reducing "undue regulatory burden" in a speech on October 19.
Brainard told an audience at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago that staff across the Federal Reserve System have been working on the problem, but cautioned against expecting immediate results.
