Kohn targets more ‘systematic’ macro-prudential policy
Looking for a more systematic approach to identifying risks
Donald Kohn believes the UK's financial policy committee (FPC) can make more progress toward "systematic and disciplined" macro-prudential policy, and outlined how in a speech published today (June 5) by the Bank of England (BoE).
In the speech, based on remarks given to the Society of Business Economists in London on May 14, Kohn, himself an FPC member, stressed the importance of helping market participants "to plan and anticipate our policy actions".
He said the FPC should continue developing
