Riksbank deputy debates inflation target change
Cecilia Skingsley weighs up case for both lowering and increasing target
Changing inflation targets would be easier if several central banks did it at the same time, according to Sveriges Riksbank deputy governor Cecilia Skingsley.
Skingsley also suggested it would be more efficient to change the target in a "relatively normal" situation, when inflation is neither significantly above or below target and the economy is not in crisis, she said in Stockholm today (May 22).
