Buba's Buch calls for ‘clear-cut inclusion’ of CEE in banking union
Speech follows similar theme to predecessor Sabine Lautenschläger
Deutsche Bundesbank vice-president Claudia Buch argued the "clear-cut inclusion" of central and eastern European (CEE) countries in the banking union would "be sensible for the creation of a single banking market" in a speech last week.
Speaking at the 19th Handelsblatt annual conference, Buch noted that countries outside the eurozone are not entitled to a vote on the ECB governing council, the body ultimately responsible for supervisory issues.
"This hinders their inclusion in the banking union
