Irish deputy calls for legislative review as SSM nears
Cyril Roux wary that domestic legislation may require ‘amendments’
Ireland needs to review its domestic legislative framework in preparation for the advent of Europe's Single Supervisory Mechanism (SSM) in November, according to Central Bank of Ireland deputy governor Cyril Roux.
Roux said yesterday that, beyond the European Central Bank's (ECB) comprehensive assessment, there is a host of preparatory work to complete at the domestic level.
"The SSM Regulation sets out the division of competences between the ECB and the national competent authorities," Roux
