Ireland’s Muldoon demands leadership from banks

A culture of leadership is still missing among Irish banks, according to comments made today (October 16) by Central Bank of Ireland director, Fiona Muldoon, to the Irish Banking Federation National Conference.

Muldoon said officials at Irish financial institutions in the mortgage resolution area, in particular, need to show greater courage. She said unless bankers rebuild a social contract between the banking industry and wider society, banking will fail to attract the best of the next
