BoE’s Jenkins discusses threats to financial system
Robert Jenkins, a member of the Bank of England's interim Financial Policy Committee, delivered a speech on June 20 in which he highlighted a number of threats to the financial system and said governments are likely to intervene more to achieve stability.
Speaking at the Global Alternative Investment Management conference in Monaco, Jenkins drew attention to a number of the risks facing the global financial system. He said "containment is not enough" to prevent cross-border risk in Europe, and
