Norway’s Olsen on regulatory overhaul of financial system

Øystein Olsen, the governor of the Norges Bank, on Tuesday said recent regulatory reforms to Norway's financial sector would ensure financial stability in the country and protect taxpayers from future losses.

At an address to foreign embassy representatives in Norway, Olsen said: "While monetary policy and fiscal policy have been anchored within a long-term, operational framework over the past 10 years, there has been no coherent regulatory system for financial markets. Requirements are
