Chile’s De Gregorio denies currency war claims

José De Gregorio, the governor of the Central Bank of Chile, on Sunday said emerging market and advanced economies were not involved in a currency war.

At the 2011 Institute of International Finance Latin American Economic Forum in Calgary, Canada, De Gregorio said: "The world is not going through a currency war; neither are emerging market economies being flooded by liquidity from advanced economies. But, in emerging market economies, there are many tensions and challenges that we must deal
