No more bailouts under Dodd-Frank: FDIC’s Bair
Sheila Bair, the chair of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), on Thursday said there would be no more bailouts once the Dodd-Frank Act was enacted.
Speaking to the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs, in Washington, DC, Bair said: "Under Title II of the Dodd-Frank Act, there are no more bailouts. By developing a credible process for resolving a troubled, systemically important financial institution (Sifi), market discipline will be reinforced and moral hazard
