Pakistan’s Shehzad: corruption burdens banking sector
Muhammad Shehzad, a deputy governor of the State Bank of Pakistan, on 5 October said the State Bank of Pakistan was cooperating with the country's National Accountability Bureau and lenders to eliminate corruption in the banking industry.
At a seminar Karachi, Shehzad said: "In Pakistan, corruption is a major cause of concern in [the] majority of public sector organisations. [It] has weakened their strength and efficiency and thus they have become a burden on the exchequer."
Shehzad said
