Dr Y.V.Reddy, governor of the Reserve bank of India, talks about financial sector globalisation at the Twenty-Fifth Bank Economists' Conference held in Mumbai. He gives a brief definition and history of globalisation before talking more specifically about its impact on the financial services sector, in particluar that of India. From this detailed study he goes on to make suggestions about how best India can capitalise on globalisation and looks at the improvements in the Indian financial
