Fed's Yellen gloomy on inflation

Janet Yellen, the president of the San Francisco Federal Reserve, has expressed concern over recent developments in inflation in the United States.

In the past three months, the personal consumption expenditure (PCE) price index, which excludes food and energy and is one of the key measures included in the Federal Open Market Committee's quarterly forecasts, has risen to 2.7%, bringing the increase over the past year to 2.2%.
