ECB's Issing-price risks more balanced, not gone

European Central Bank Chief Economist Otmar Issing reiterated on Feb 21 that while price risk in the euro zone were increasingly balanced some threats to price stability still lingered on. "Recent developments point towards increasingly balanced risks to price stability in the medium term," Issing said according to the text of a speech he was due to deliver in London.

Issing also that the euro zone as a relatively closed economy should successfully withstand the dampening impact of the U.S
