HK's Yam on ominous central bank injections
Joseph Yam, the chief executive of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, said on Tuesday that the continued need for central banks to inject extra funds was "not a good sign."
Speaking in Hong Kong, Yam said that the length of time over which central banks have had to lend was "not a good sign, because of the implication of a continuing lack of trust among financial institutions in lending to each other."
The European Central Bank was the first central bank to inject extra funds, adding €94.8
