SA's Mboweni on the importance of communication
The need for good communication to support an effective monetary policy regime has again been underlined by Tito Mboweni, the governor of the South African Reserve Bank.
In a speech on global imbalances, competitiveness and emerging markets made in Pretoria, Mboweni said: "Monetary policy loses its effectiveness if it is not understood and if the central bank does not have credibility."
