Cleveland Fed's Pianalto on economic conditions

In the speech 'National and regional economic conditions' given on 18 January Sandra Pianalto of the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland said financial markets seem confident that the Federal Reserve will bring inflation back down, but there is a risk underlying inflation will not improve and the Fed will have to act.

"We have several measures of inflation expectations to look at, and they all generally suggest that long-term inflation expectations are holding steady," Pianalto said in the speech
