ECB paper finds eurozone inflation better anchored than US
Compares longer-term market expectations of inflation during economic shocks
A working paper published today by the European Central Bank (ECB) finds "a somewhat stronger anchoring of inflation expectations in the euro area than in the United States" during normal times – a gap that widened during the recent crisis.
