ECB says stance in line with price stability aims

The European Central Bank published its April 2004 Monthly Bulletin on 7 April. The bank said its monetary policy stance remains in line with its target of maintaining price stability. "The low level of interest rates provides ongoing support to the economic recovery in the euro area," it added.

"On the basis of its regular economic and monetary analysis, the Governing Council maintained its assessment that the current stance of monetary policy is in line with the maintenance of price stability
