IMF Global Financial Stability Report, March 2003

The International Monetary Fund published its Global Financial Stability Report on 27 March, the semiannual assessments of global financial markets. In the report the IMF warned that a prolonged war in Iraq could hit global financial markets hard. The report said the potential for a rebound in the economy and financial markets is "currently overshadowed by the intensified uncertainty about the prospect of war in Iraq and its repercussions on growth and stability".
