Fed deserves praise for online efforts

As the international financial system totters, the Federal Reserve banks are making full use of their websites to keep the public informed, says David Bowen, a senior consultant at Bowen Craggs, web advisers.

There is much to be praised in the way the Federal Reserve has used its website in recent weeks.

With the US at the heart of the financial crisis, the Fed's website is likely to be one to which most will turn to find out more about central banks' responses to the panic in financial markets
