Japan ponders reserves switch

Japanese Finance Minister Sadakazu Tanigaki's suggestion that Japan might consider diversifying its massive foreign exchange reserves provoked speculation about possible dollar dumping on a huge scale by Asian governments and also set the gold market alight briefly.
