Central Bank News defends "boring central bankers"

The Financial Times on Wednesday published Central Bank News's response Wolfgang Munchau's piece in Monday's newspaper, "Boring central bankers got us into this mess", which blamed central bankers for the current credit crisis.

The letter reads:

Sir, For Wolfgang Munchau to blame the banking crisis on "boring central bankers" is unreasonable ("Boring central bankers got us into this mess", October 15). Low global interest rates between 2002 and 2004 did contribute to the crisis to an extent
