Inflation figures show signs of lowering but still nowhere near target range

Central Bank of Brazil calls on government for structural reforms of the financial sector

The Central Bank of Brazil has called on the government to carry out structural reforms, while stressing its own focus on combating price increases.

In the minutes of its latest meeting, published today (March 10), the monetary policy committee said it would remain vigilant in monitoring the economic environment and would take the necessary measures to control inflation.

However, members also highlighted the importance of the wider authorities persevering with structural reforms to ensure fiscal
