Riksbank calls for ‘urgent' clarification of FSA’s powers
Financial system stable but risks appear to be rising
Sveriges Riksbank today (June 3) called for the government to grant clearer powers to the Swedish FSA, which is facing the prospect of rising risks in the financial system without a clear method of tackling them.
The central bank's latest financial stability report, the first since a redesign was announced on May 28, says the financial system is currently working well but there are signs risks are rising due to more risk-taking by investors and high household indebtedness.
