BoE’s MPC members diverge on interest rate outlook
Some members see potential for rate hikes later this year
Views are increasingly divergent among members of the Bank of England's (BoE) monetary policy committee (MPC), the minutes of the meeting held on Feb 4-5 show.
In a break from previous months, the minutes raised the possibility of expanding the central bank's programme of quantitative easing, and said a cut in the interest rate was less likely to have "undesirable effects" on UK credit supply than when banks were weaker, post-financial crisis.
One member suggested the next action by the BoE was
