ECB concerned by growing search for yield
Banking system stress has nonetheless ‘eased’ as banking union gains momentum
Stress in the eurozone banking system has "eased" as preparations for the banking union "gather pace", but new risks are emerging, according to the latest European Central Bank (ECB) financial stability review, published today.
The ECB singles out the growing search for yield across different regions and market segments, noting that the financial system is now more vulnerable to "an abrupt reversal of risk premiums".
