Increased fixed capital formations in South Africa
The latest quarterly bulletin from the South African Reserve Bank was launched today (March 20). The central bank's chief economist, Monde Mnyande, spoke at the launch event and highlighted the increase in fixed capital formation during the period covered by this latest report. Mnvande said the increase in capital spending had come from both the private and public sectors as the economy grew in the last quarter of 2011.
