BoE report captures impact of QE policy

The Bank of England's Asset Purchase Facility quarterly report, published on January 30, shows gilt yields edged lower following the central bank's announcement to conduct a further round of quantitative easing.

In October 2011, the central bank's Monetary Policy Committee voted to increase the size of its asset purchase facility to £275 billion ($430 billion), with purchases conducted on a weekly basis until February. As of December 29, 2011, accumulated assets totalled £250 billion. New
