Bank of Canada – Monetary Policy Report (April 2011)
The Bank of Canada's April 2011 Monetary Policy Report, published on Wednesday, shows economic activity in Canada towards the end of 2010 was stronger than the central bank had originally forecast.
Real gross domestic product (GDP) in Canada grew at an annual rate of 3.3% in the fourth quarter of 2010, one percentage point above the central bank's 2.3% estimate in its January Monetary Policy Report. Real GDP growth in Canada slowed to 1.0% in the third quarter and is estimated to now have picked
